Constitution Day and Citizenship Day is a dual holiday that celebrates the anniversary of the constitution and recognizes the responsibilities of U.S. citizens. The constitution of the United States of America was signed on September 17th, 1787. Constitution Day celebrates the anniversary of this event. Citizenship Day recognizes people who have become citizens of the United States each year. Many schools will teach lessons about the constitution and its history on this day.
