Lyndon Baines Johnson Day celebrates the birthday of the United States’ 36th president. This holiday is observed annually in Texas, where they celebrate the many achievements LBJ made during his time as US president. Lyndon Baines Johnson was born in Stonewall, Texas. Before becoming president he served on both the senate and the House of Representatives for Texas. After his presidency, he returned to Texas. After his death, his home state created this state holiday to recognize his life and legacy.
