Andorra is a small European country with a population of just over 70,000. It is nestled between France and Spain, and much of its cultural features stem from France, Spain, and nearby Italy. Roman Catholicism is the predominant religion throughout Andorra, so many of its most important holidays are Christian. Andorrans celebrate many of the major Catholic feast days plus a few extras such as St. John’s Day and Our Lady of or Meritxell Day (National Day), celebrating the patron saint of Andorra.
