Missouri Official State Holidays 

Missouri official public holidays are the general Federal holidays with the addition of Truman Day. Missouri has more special observances (over 100) than any other state.

When any holidays fall on Sunday, the holiday will be observed on Monday.

Section 9.010 - Public holidays. (8/28/2022)

9.010. Public holidays. — The first day of January, the third Monday of January, the twelfth day of February, the third Monday in February, the eighth day of May, the last Monday in May, the nineteenth day of June, the fourth day of July, the first Monday in September, the second Monday in October, the eleventh day of November, the fourth Thursday in November, and the twenty-fifth of December, are declared and established public holidays; and when any of such holidays falls upon Sunday, the Monday next following shall be considered the holiday. There shall be no holiday for state employees on the fourth Monday of October.

9.020. Designation of certain holidays. — In each year the third Monday of January is known as "Martin Luther King Day" and the twelfth day of February is known as "Lincoln Day" and the thirteenth day of April is known as "Jefferson Day" and the second Monday in October is known as "Columbus Day".

May 8, Truman Day. — The governor shall issue annually a proclamation setting apart the eighth day of May as "Truman Day" and recommending to the people of the state that the day be appropriately observed in honor of and out of respect for Harry S Truman, the thirty-third president of the United States, a distinguished public servant and the only Missourian ever to be elected to this high office.
