Holidays & Observances in Vanuatu
Vanuatu is an island country in the Pacific Ocean. It was once dually owned by the British and the French, and that sense of coexistence still marks the attitude of the country as a whole. Many different ethnicities call Vanuatu home. This includes indigenous peoples, Asians, Europeans, and Pacific Islanders, all of whom live in harmony with one another despite having vastly different cultures. The culture of the islands varies from place to place and group to group, but almost all of the people practice Christianity, so its holidays are the most widely celebrated.
