January is National Radon Action Month. Radon is a gas that cannot be seen, smelled, or tasted. Some people may live in a home or area where radon gas can permeate their environment and cause a high risk for lung cancer. Radon occurs in naturally in soil, plants, and water, but its presence in its decaying form in air can be deadly.
