Transgender Month of Action for Healthcare Equality

March is Transgender Month of Action for Healthcare Equality. Throughout history, healthcare has been discriminatory against LGBT+ groups, and particularly transgender individuals. Not only do they deserve healthcare like everyone else, they have specific needs that require attention. The ACA has reduced discrimination in medicine, but it is by no means eliminated. We take this month to stand up for our trans* members of society and stand with them in their fight for equality.
