Haitian Heritage Month

May is Haitian Heritage Month! This is a US celebration for people of Haitian descent. It began with festivities in Boston, Massachusetts in 1998, and now it has spread to cities around the country with large Haitian populations. It is often celebrated with parades, festivals, school activities, and flag raising ceremonies.
