Peanut Butter Lovers' Month
November is National Peanut Butter Lovers month!
Did you know that Americans eat about 700 million pounds of peanut butter each year?
Peanut butter is a great source of protein, potassium, fiber, and Vitamin E. It’s also heart-healthy, can boost energy, and can aid in weight loss!
Peanut butter can be traced back to the ancient Aztecs and Incas. The indigenous groups would often roast peanuts to be made into a paste. Peanut paste was made with roasted peanuts until 1835 when Dr. John Harvey Kellogg patented a technique for making peanut butter with raw peanuts.
