Ocean Mysteries, Legends & Sea Monsters Month celebrates the folklore, deep-sea discoveries, maritime myths, and unexplained wonders that have fascinated humanity for centuries.

Created by Patti Jewel, founder of Walk in the Sand, this month continues her global celebration of the world’s beaches honoring not only their beauty, but their depth, power, and storytelling traditions. Patti also created Walk in the Sand Day, World Beach Day, and World Beach Month, inspiring a year-round appreciation of our shared shores.

October invites us to stand at the water’s edge and wonder what lies beyond the waves.
