Patriotic / National Observances
Every Country has a day or days where they celebrate their nation, events that occurred in their nation, the people of their nation, or occasions that are significant in their nation. Many of these holidays are common in name and theme from country to country, but vary in what and why it is celebrated in the country. The most common are National Day and Independence Day where the nation celebrates the founding of their country and/or independence from another. Many of these days are similar in theme but celebrated by a different name for example, some countries celebrating their Independence, call it Founders Day, Liberation Day or Constitution Day, while others have a day for all of these.
