Spring

Spring and Springtime is the time of year when the climate typically changes and we think of renewal, regrowth and rejuvenation. Many cultures have celebrations to bring in the spring when plants flower and grow. 

Spring (Vernal) Equinox

• On or around March 19, 20, or 21 in the Northern Hemisphere in the regions of U.S., Central America, Canada, Europe, Asia and Northern Africa. 
• On or near September 22 in the Southern Hemisphere in the regions of Australia, New Zealand, South America and southern Africa.

The Spring Season is followed by Summer, Fall & Winter. The 4 seasons are based on how the earth orbits the sun with the equinoxes being the time when the sun is directly over the equator where day and night are closest to being equal with approximately 12 hours each.
