AHA Moment Day

Aha moment is a moment of sudden insight or realization. That moment when you see something in a completely different way, it's your Aha moment. Aha Moment Day is the day to celebrate the Aha moments in your life and discover new ones.

Aha Moment Day was created by Patti Jewel and established by Holiday Visionary Committee as an Inspiration Holiday in 2022, to be celebrated on January 29th in honor of Oprah's birth date. The day was inspired by Oprah Winfrey who was the influence for the word being added to the dictionary in 2012. She didn't invent the word, but her excitement and energy toward the Aha moment made it more mainstream.

About Aha Moments 

You know that moment when you are like "oh, that's how it works", or "oh yea, now I get it", or "aha, I remember now". These are your aha moments. There are different types of aha moments: 

An aha moment can be a learning moment when something you are trying to learn clicks.
"aha, now I get it"

It can also be a moment of discovery.
"aha, that's how it works"

Aha moments can be a moment of remembering something.
"aha, right, that's it!"

When browsing or shopping for a product or service, the aha moment is a click when a person realizes they can benefit from the product or service. 
"aha, that's something I need!" 

Oprah places another meaning on the expression which leans more toward the epiphany of discovering your best self and finding your purpose. It's the aha moment of self-discovery and that feeling of "aha, that's who I really am" or "aha, that is my purpose." It's the aha moment of something awakening inside you that deep down you already knew was there.
