Bagel Day, also known as Bagel & Lox Day is January 15th

Bagel Day, formerly celebrated on February 9th, is now observed on January 15th in order to move it to a day where it wouldn't be competing with pizza!

Nothing better than starting the morning with a Toasty bagel, cream cheese and jelly toppings are some of my favorites! So what better way to show appreciation for this tasty breakfast food than to give it a wonderful holiday named, "Bagel day." Bagel day is held every January 15th, a yearly holiday that is celebrated by millions all over the world! Why would anyone celebrate this holiday? Well I'm glad you asked.. 

History of Bagel Day

The origin of this crafted pastry has various theories but one dedicates that the bagels was made around 14th century within Poland, known by the name of obwarzanek (try saying that three times without getting tongue tied). As bagels came from Poland, it soon grew over the many centuries with various techniques to create the round bread that grew to become an international pastry devoured by many. Many kinds of bagels have been crafted over the years of time, as times changed and advanced it allowed for the bagel to grow into a universe of its own. The bagel is widely consumed by the world population, according to the national consumer survey, almost 204.91 million Americans consume bagels.
