Happy Cookie Monster Day! Jim Henson and Frank Oz are the men we have to thank for the incredible impact this character has had on us for generations. Cookie Monster, along with other characters such as Oscar the Grouch, Elmo, and Big Bird make up Sesame Street. Cookie Monster was first introduced to us in 1969 along with the rest of the characters from Sesame Street. The Cookie Monster’s daily life always involves his favorite treat. You guessed it, Cookies. Whenever he is not eating his favorite treat, he is typically demanding them. What is your favorite type of cookie? If your favorite type of cookie is chocolate chip, then you and the Cookie Monster have something in common. However, when cookies are not available he can eat just about anything, even objects that aren’t normally edible. This character will continue to bring smiles to many children for a long time to come!
