Every year, on the second Saturday of June, people around the world come together to celebrate Crowded Nest Awareness Day. This day is dedicated to raising awareness to crowded homes. 

Crowded Homes 

Large families, extended families, and friends moving in together can create a crowded home. With todays economy forcing many people out of their homes and many adult children to stay living with their parents longer, crowded homes is becoming more of a problem. 

One of the biggest challenges is finding enough space for everyone. Crowded nests can be a breeding ground for conflict and feelings of claustrophobia. Crowded Nest awareness day is a day to find solutions to giving everyone their own space. 

What you can do

Contact your local governments and let them know that the higher prices of homes is not acceptable. Ask for penalties on big corporations who are buying homes as investments taking away home ownership from the every day person. Homes are a place to live. They should not be a corporate investment opportunity. 

Celebrate Crowded Nest Awareness Day

Despite the challenges, families with many children, extended families and friends living together can be incredibly close-knit and supportive. Crowded Nest Awareness Day is a day to celebrate the unique bonds that are formed and to find ways to work out any issues that arise in a large home.
