Daiquiri Day, observed on July 19th, is a holiday that celebrates the frozen drink during the hottest month of the year.

A Daiquiri is a cocktail made with rum, lime juice, and sugar. Unlike most cocktails, this one has one identifiable origin story. It was invented in the Cuban village of Daiquiri by an American miner in 1898. It is named after the Daiquiri Beach in Cuba.

There are many different variations of the Daiquiri. One popular variation is the strawberry Daiquiri, which is made with rum, lime juice, sugar, and strawberries. Other variations include the mango Daiquiri, the pineapple Daiquiri, and the banana Daiquiri.
