Mint Julep Day is May 30th

Mint Julep Day celebrates the traditional mint and bourbon summer drink. This cocktail is a classic in the American south, where it has been popular since the 18th century. It gained even more popularity when it became the traditional drink to consume at the Kentucky Derby in the 1930s. In fact part of the reason for the date of this holiday being in May is because the Kentucky Derby takes place in May as well.
