National Day of the Deployed is October 26th

National Day of the Deployed is a holiday celebrated in the United States to honor the service men and women who are currently deployed. These are people who put their lives on the line again and again to insure the safety of their country and its citizens. If you have loved ones serving in the military, this is a great day to reach out to them. Send them letters or care packages if you can to thank them for their service and give them something to look forward to. If you don’t know anyone serving, you can still send your appreciation to troops abroad by donating to one of the several charities that focuses on helping people in the military. Even saying a simple thank you to military men and women when you see them is a great way to show them that their efforts have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated.
