Peach Melba Day

Peach Melba Day is January 13th!

A Peach Melba is a delicious treat made with vanilla ice cream, peaches, and raspberry sauce. It was invented by Auguste Escoffier, a French chef who was working at the Savoy Hotel in London in the late 1800s. He named it in honor of Nellie Melba, an Australian singer. The best way to celebrate this holiday is of course to eat a peach melba. This is a dessert you don't often see on restaurant menus. But luckily, it's very easy to make at home!
