Having pets automatically makes traveling much more stressful. Whether you choose to leave them behind or take them with you, there are tons of precautions that need to be taken to insure that your pets stay safe and happy. Many people forget that when you go driving with your pets their safety needs to be taken into consideration as much as yours does. Keep your pets secure in the seat with either a carrier or a leash. This protects them in the event of an accident, and it keeps them from being too hyperactive and distracting you as you drive. Pet Travel Safety Day was started by Pet Safety expert, Colleen Paige.
