This tongue in cheek holiday is said to have been created toward making people less lonely due to it being near Valentine’s day. Shower with a friend was originally geared toward showering with your new friend ‘the shower filter’ created by the Colorado based company New Wave Enviro. However, the unofficial holiday has led to education about health and safety of showering.
