Take Your Child to the Library Day is the 1st Saturday in February

The library is a great place for kids to nurture a love of reading and learn about all kinds of new things. Reading is a very important activity for young children, and the library is the perfect place to encourage your kids to do more of it. This is the day to take your kids to the library and introduce them to a great place to spend some time. If you don't already have library cards for your kids, this is also an excellent time to get them one! Check out your local library for activities and fun events for kids today and every day!

What better way to start off February than to show some love to your child by taking them to the library? That's right, it's Take Your Child to the Library Day. Every February 1st we are given the opportunity to share an awesome moment with our children by taking them to the library! This is a great holiday to spend time with the family over books. 

History of Libraries

For as long as mankind has been around, libraries have been around to store the knowledge of mankind. From the rise and fall of nations, libraries carried information unlike any others that allowed the next generation to learn from the old. As reading is a tool that allows us to grow our knowledge, it also acts as a way to grow our children. Thinking of us like plants, when a child is young they will need to be watered and nurtured with knowledge. Taking your child the liberty doesn't just allow them to have access to a large amount of information, but it also helps build good habits. 

Why Take Your Child to the Library

Reading just a single book with your child can create a new world of imagination and growth, giving them a chance to build a deeper bond with their parents. The more moments a child shares with their parents that positively impacts their life gives them a chance to become better in life over time.
