Teachers are some of the most important members of our society. They are the ones responsible for educating the future generations of citizens. And it can be a tough job. Teachers constantly deal with difficult students and large class sizes with very little appreciation. Teachers' Day, known as National Teachers Day in the U.S., is about doing just that.

Show your teachers just how much they mean to you by giving them gifts or cards or simply telling them how amazing you think they are. This holiday takes place in the U.S. on the Tuesday of Teacher Appreciation Week, which is the first full week in May.
