Try Something New Day is the day to get out of the norm and try something new and different. Do you ever feel like you are stuck in a rut, like life is the same everyday? Same food, same drive to work, same schedule, same routine. Try something new today. Take a new route to work. Order a new food on the menu that you haven't tried before. Try a new adventure. Find a local outing that you haven't done before. Today is the day to experience new things and Try Something New! 

Try Something New Day was established by Patti Jewel and the Holiday Visionary Team to be celebrated on May 7th Annually. There is an insane amount of new things to try or do. Here at HolidaySmart we have searched high and low for all the best ideas - get ready for our extensive list.

Personal

• In the name of all things hair - change the color, get bangs, shave it
• In the clothing/shoes or accessories realm buy something you wouldn’t normally buy
• Switch out things that are unethical or fast fashion for more sustainable things (things made from companies that have eco standards and practices) - hair/body soap, clothing/shoes, accessories, makeup
• Try a new gym routine
• Eat new foods
• Start a new project creative/organization - journal, make art, write a blog, organize an event or all the things you have
• Read a new book
• Have a spa day

Household

• Rearrange your furniture
• Paint a wall a different color
• Change out your household things/objects for more sustainable things - soap/cleaners (laundry, dish, all purpose and toilet cleaners), appliances, household tools (laundry balls, microplastic washer catcher, drying racks and compostable/reusable sponges), reusable dishware and togo wares (general dishware, togo mugs, utensils, containers and straws), vacuum cleaners/dusters
• Buy new plants
• Declutter
• DIY something for your space

Outdoor

• Go skydiving, fishing or kayaking
