Walk to School Day is a day that encourages kids to walk to school, especially with the guidance of their parents. This helps encourage communities to walk more often. When areas are more walkable, people in those places tend to be healthier and more comfortable in their communities. This holiday is celebrated on a day in October as determined by the Partnership for a Walkable America.
