International Whisk(e)y Day is observed worldwide on March 27th, raise a dram to celebrate the makers, writers and lovers of whiskey. Enjoy whiskey and celebrate by donating to your favorite charity in honour of Michael Jackson, the legendary whisk(e)y writer who suffered with Parkinson's Disease. 

What's with the parenthesis?

The creator of this holiday added the (e) in parenthesis in order to be grammatically correct internationally. In the U.S. and Ireland, the word is spelled "Whiskey", while in Scotland, Canada, India, and Japan, it is spelled "Whisky".
