Wildlife Conservationist Day is a day to appreciate those who work every day and have a passion for saving and protecting our wildlife. The date was chosen to honor the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin who dedicated his life to wildlife and conservation efforts. He brought new attention and appreciation for wildlife with his excitable and fun passion that he shared with the world through his wildlife documentary, The Crocodile Hunter. 

How to Celebrate Wildlife Conservationists Day

• Donate, help out, give back to the people who dedicate their lives to protecting the worlds wildlife. 
• Visit the Zoo and learn more about the animals
• Contact legislators in your state to be sure lands are being protected for the animals that live there. 

History of Wildlife Conservationists Day

Founded by Patti Jewel, Holiday Expert and Activist, in honor of Steve Irwin, to showcase the worlds conservationists' efforts in preserving our wildlife.
