World Day against Trafficking in Persons

World Day against Trafficking in Persons is observed July 30 annually as designated by the United Nations. Every country is affected by human trafficking which is a crime that exploits women, children and men for numerous purposes including forced labour and sex. This day was adopted to develop a plan of action to combat trafficking in persons and to urge governments worldwide to take coordinated and consistent measures to defeat it.
