When most people think of hypnotism they picture people being put under some kind of spell, made to do all kinds of ridiculous things. In reality though, hypnotism is a technique used by all kinds of psychology experts. It can be used to help people lose weight, break bad habits, and access old memories. This is a day to raise awareness for what the true purpose of hypnotism is as well as all of its potential psychological benefits. 

The stigma around hypnotism has portrayed it as a silly means to gain control over someone. However, hypnotism at its roots has shown to be at times an effective method of aiding psychological issues. This holiday is meant to bring those benefits to light.

Ways to Celebrate

Trying out hypnotism with friends and family can be a great way to celebrate the holiday, see if you notice any differences or benefits. 

People can come together to get a better understanding of psychology and what hypnotism can actually contribute through this holiday.
