World Wish Day is April 29th

World Wish Day celebrates the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a charity that grants wishes for children with illnesses around the world. The Make-A-Wish Foundation was formed after seven-year-old Chris Greicius, who was suffering from leukemia expressed the desire to become a police officer. Local police officers heard about his wish and decided to make him a police officer for a day on April 29, 1980. This inspired the founders of Make-A-Wish to grant the wishes of many other children for years to come. World Wish Day is a day to do what you can to help the foundation by donating or volunteering your time.
